On February 26, Karen Lam of the Hong Kong Theaters Association (HKTA), Sam Ho and K.K. Lau of IFACT-GC and Simon Wan of the Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department (HKC&E) jointly conducted an anti-camcording training seminar for 90 frontline cinema staff.  A new training video jointly produced by HKTA and IFACT-GC outlining measures that can prevent illegal camcording was shown during the event. Attendants were also taught how to use night vision goggles supplied by IFACT-GC to detect camcording pirates in action.  Simon Wan of HKC&E explained the legal powers of cinema staff under the Prevention of Copyright Piracy Ordinance and the proper procedures for reporting illegal camcording.
