Hong Kong - IFACT-GC Training Seminar for 160 Secondary Students

On September 11, three IFACT-GC representatives conducted an IPR training seminar for 160 students at a Hong Kong secondary school. The seminar highlighted the importance of protecting IPR and the risks that students face by exposing their computers to harmful viruses, worms, and Trojan horses when filesharing. The dangers were highlighted in a discussion of a number of recent cases where government officials had inadvertently released confidential data when using Foxy, a Chinese interface filesharing program. The interactive seminars were well received by the students.
