On January 28, 2010 over 60 members of the public attended an open, interactive forum to discuss the Government’s digital copyright legislation. The forum, supported by the IFACT-GC, was co-organized by the Internet Society of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association, DotAsia Organisation, and Creative Commons Hong Kong.
Panelists leading the discussion included representatives from the music industry, the movie industry, internet service providers, online service providers, the user community, academics, Creative Commons and Hong Kong Government officials. Over 60 people attended what was a lively interactive forum and it is intended that similar forums for discussion will be arranged to stimulate public debate and understanding of the digital copyright legislation among stakeholders. |
